| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2004 Aroma is malty, with some spicy peppery notes, which I can imagine is ginger. Pours a moderately hazy color with lots of floaties and an extremely quickly dissipating head. Blonde/copper color. Holy astringent batman. Wow, still puckering. Ironically, this has some decent malts in it with some sweetness. This does have a rather sour and peppery start with lots of ginger. A unique brew! Not too bad. Grows on me. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 25, 2007 The aroma is only mildly ginger accented. The main aroma is detergent and wheat accented fruits. The body is a murky golden color and holds a limp pinky sized white head. The fore is, again, mildly ginger accented though the flavor grows in intensity It’s a bit wheaty/grainy and rustic, but in the way a Weyerbacher I just had is.....simple rustic rather than complex and rustically made.

On the whole it is still a fairly drinkable beer and probably one of my favorite from this brewer. EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 31, 2007 Bottle. Aroma of ginger, sweet with grain and some fruit (peach). Cloudy orange with a soapy eggshell head. Taste is dry and wheaty with only a dose of ginger for balance. Fruit only bg. Not really stale, but there’s something off here. Good dose of malt in a fullish body, wheaten aftertaste with some gum, just doesn’t do it for me. Silphium (2137), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 26, 2005 Hazy orange body, thin off-white/buff head. Aroma of ginger, spicy, earthy, and bready. Ginger definitely defines the palate but it is not overpowering. Unfortunately, the rather light, earthy, bready body does not do much to offset or even enhance the ginger spicing. That said, this beer is certainly tolerable, but distinctively average. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jun 1, 2007 12 oz twist off bottle from The Beer Store Bottle Shop in Moon Township for $1.75 nice price Frank. Has some sediment in the bottom of the bottle. A darker almost apricot orange color unfiltered wheat beer look with swirling haze. Difficult and somewhat aggressive spice or hoppy flavor. I’m curious if this is a fruit or veggy beer. Not many entries in my spiced/herb/vegatable style. Flavor is different than most others, individual in taste. The ginger adds a unique alky impression that makes this seem more than is listed. Has a long way to go when compared tothe manners of circus boy. Not as bad as old fezziwig or Sly Fox Xmas Ale.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 24, 2006 Updated: Jun 29, 2006I have had this beer a couple of times. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange color with a medium sized orange-white head. The aroma is hot and spicy with a tangy citrus undertone. The flavor is strong hot candied ginger. The ginger overwhelms any actual "beer" like flavor. The finish is hot and spicy. Not terrible but quite one sided. phishpond417 (1946), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
