Jun 30, 2006 Fairly light amber color - hazy and cloudy. Aroma of tart citrus, grassy hops and a hint of spice. Flavor is of a typical dry wheat beer, with a hint of spice/ginger. Kind of a muddy flavor though - doesn’t really shine.

Oct 26, 2004 Aroma is malty, with some spicy peppery notes, which I can imagine is ginger. Pours a moderately hazy color with lots of floaties and an extremely quickly dissipating head. Blonde/copper color. Holy astringent batman. Wow, still puckering. Ironically, this has some decent malts in it with some sweetness. This does have a rather sour and peppery start with lots of ginger. A unique brew! Not too bad. Grows on me.

Oct 18, 2006 (12oz bottle) Small off white head atop a clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, ginger, peach, some cereal. Taste is medium sweet, ginger, some cereal, light herbal bitterness. Light body, some crispness.

Aug 16, 2004 Light golden colored beer with a thin head. Aroma wafts of mild ginger aroma. Beer is light and crisp, but tastes very gingerlike. Not too unsellting, but it is definitely a strong flavor.

Apr 14, 2003 Tastes almost like a witbier, just with ginger replacing the citrus. Mildly spicy. Thin bodied. It leaves a tingling sensation on the tongue, much like the fresh ginger you may nip while eating sushi. An original beer, albeit a gimick product lacking in anything particularly interesting.

Jan 26, 2009 Tasted like a typical wheat beer with some extra spiciness to me. The ginger flavor really wasn’t at all pronounced. A bit spicy, bitter, and dry.

Sep 11, 2007 12ozer from the brewery. Pours orange/amber with a 2 finger chunky white head. Not much in the nose. Taste is sweet with a little bite, ehhh. I love the name as I love the Island but damn this needs so much more.
