Don't know why, but this beer is hardly any different. Its wheatiness shines through and the ginger flavor is present, but not overwhelming. Good. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2004 Hazy gold body is topped by a respectable amount of white foam. The aroma is really more malt than ginger. It’s got a nice dry hay malt flavor and aroma that makes this an exceedingly drinkable beer. The ginger is very mild. In fact, I wouldn’t even know it was made with ginger, although I think the root spice creates a bit of vague spiciness that combines with the estery yeast flavors makes this almost seem like a mild Belgian ale. I’m getting a little cinnamon and vanilla as well. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2005 Murky orange; not much head; quite a bit of tiny sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Aroma most certainly of ginger and wheat, and I could swear I also detect a hint of apricots and cloves. Flavor is somewhat light with more ginger and just a little spiciness. Medium-full body; barely sticky; fitting for the style, I think. Overall this is pretty unique and actually tasty, though I wish there were more spiciness from the ginger. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2006 Bottle from State Line. Dark straw pour with smallish head. Aroma of soapy ginger root and sesame oil coupled with hopcitrus. The flavor was malty, gingery, with back end hops. Unique, and worth quaffing again if I see it locally, although not by the case. Flavor is crisp and gingery with a bit of sugar - good - make sure to swirl and pour the sediment for a slightly softer, fuller palate and flavor profile. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA
