Commercial Description:
This strongly hopped, crisp ale, is the clear choice for the hop enthusiast. We use pale, crystal, black and Munich malts, and a veritable boatload of Northdown bittering hops for this ale. Like the Ginger Wheat, it is quite popular in the warm weather, as hops yield a clean, crisp bitter that is rather refreshing.

Bomber: Pours a hazy dark orange with a persistent off-white head, earthy aroma with citrus notes and some dark fruit and bread, medium bodied with ample carbonation, starts and ends bitter, with an astringent ending.

A good Maine summertime brew with a floral hoppy bitterness which is quite well balanced by a wheaty crispness. A nice bitter.

On tap at the brewery, the color is amber with a beige head. The hops dominate this one with a very good bitter taste. The taste of fruit is also very present .This one was very good as E.S.B. go.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a one finger foamy beige head with good retention. Lots of slow lazy carbonation. Very light aroma with just a little crackery and biscuity maltiness and a minimal hoppiness. The malt is dry, very husky, and earthy with a moderately bitter citrusy hop finish. Quite a bit more aggressive than I expected. In fact, the very long lingering bitterness came across as a little harsh by the end of the bottle. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a somewhat earthy and grainy texture and lots of prickly fizzy carbonation. A little fuller than it should be maybe. Overall, this was just a little too much for the style, a little too "American-ized".

Poured a opaque brown with rusty edges and a frothy slightly off white head. Aroma is mild, slightly grainy, slightly citrus with a faint touch of yeast. Flavor is nice, malty, crisp, grassy. Finish is bitter (obviously) with touches of orange, lemon. I would love this as a session beer. Refreshing and not overwhelming.
