Commercial Description:
This strongly hopped, crisp ale, is the clear choice for the hop enthusiast. We use pale, crystal, black and Munich malts, and a veritable boatload of Northdown bittering hops for this ale. Like the Ginger Wheat, it is quite popular in the warm weather, as hops yield a clean, crisp bitter that is rather refreshing.

Bottle shared by OhioDad, thanks! Pours an orange-brown with a off white head. Aroma of earthy hops, a bit of funk and some light malt. The flavors coming out were mainly floral hops and light sweet malt. Medium body with a clean finish. Pretty middle of the road stuff.

Stored and served at a temperature between cellar and room, the beer pored out clear amber in color, and had a three finger tall foamy head in the mug that left gobs of lacing. Aroma was crisp and spicy, and had a backing of floral hops. The taste was mild and complex, as it was balanced between sweet and caramelized malts, and earthy bitter hops. A touch of sourness and dry oak flavors finished things off. I think this was Burtonized as well, because the mineral hardness of the water kept the taste buds refreshed. It was very easy to drink down the entire bomber in a sitting. This was not exactly a classic English Bitter, but where it deviated from the mold, it improved on the original style IMO.

Bottle with a "thanks" to OhioDad for sharing. Brown pour with a small off white head. Aroma caramel, some grassy/earthy hops. Flavor, an earthy bitterness, some caramel. Average is the perfect word for this one.

22oz bottle pours dark amber with a short offwhite head. Aromas of caramel with some tropical fruit and earthy notes. Flavor is caramel, a little chocolate, lots of earthy notes and brief hops at the finish. Lots of carbonation and pretty sticky on the palate. Pretty average all around.. Nothing too tasty..

Pours hazy dark amber with a mostly receding light-tan head. Aroma of sticky alefruits, fruity hop notes: mango, plums, and caramel. Taste is sweet and sticky with alefruits and British hops. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, slightly sticky with lush (over)carbonation. Far too much carbonation for a British-style ale. Not a big fan.

The deep brown body is topped with a thick, creamy head that sticks thickly to the glass. The aroma is fairly malty along with a bit of musky hops. The flavor is fairly rich, but not too sweet. Good body.

Reddish brown color with a big creamy head. Slightly malty aroma with a hint of caramel. Getting the mild english hop aroma as well. Bitter grapefruit taste dominates. Slightly sticky, sugary finish. What you would expect from a bitter.

Thanks to Santa for this one. It pours coppery ruby colored, with a 1-finger ecru head. Aroma of caramel malt, some vinous fruit, nuts, cabernet. The flavor is indeed bitter, but well rounded with the solid caramel malt base and plenty of hops. Gets more bitter and hoppy as it warms.
