Bottle. A hazy yellow beer with floaties and a white head. The aroma is of yeast, fruits and spices, so is the taste, light alcoholic. Medium body with a light sweet sparkeling finish.

One of the more carbonated beers I’ve ever drank. It is right on par with other strong ales. Not very smooth, but the flavor does have a hint of fruit and alcohol, which is okay every now and then.

11.2oz bottle dated 20/03/08. Fucking EXPLODED out of the bottle. Served in a Duvel tulip with a five fingered head and one fingers worth of beer. Hazy golden color with plenty of carbonation. The massive head smells yeasty, tart, citrusy, and a bit funky. Taste is fruity & earthy with a nice bit of brett? There is a definite spiciness from the grains. The finish is pears and candi sugar.

Bottle, best by 3/20/08: Pours a slightly hazy golden bronze with a clingy, spotty-lacing airy white head. Sweet, biscuity Belgian malty nose has some earthy grassy notes and doughy yeast. Body starts fairly average with a touch of sweet, bready caramel malt and some grapey notes. Has a touch of earthy funk toward a drier finish. A pretty interesting brew.

Finally entering all my "Better Know a Style: Belgian Strong Ale" tasting 07 results. A non-existent aroma, but a little fruit. Golden body with tiny white head. Light sweetness, but overall flavor is not that great. And thin not that great body. Once again another one I will have to rerate, but as I remember this wasn’t too great overall.

Draught: Complex aroma. Smells a bit fruity with notes of soap, grapefruit, and some alcohol and yeast. Poured golden in color with a tiny white head that diminished quickly. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Complex flavor is a bit strange. Neither bitter nor sweet. Tastes of resin, rye, grains, yeast, and grapes. Flavor is faint and uninspired. Light to medium body. Boring texture. Lively carbonation. Short grain finish. Overall, pretty boring.

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy golden - some tiny, floating impurities - and a dense, off-white head. Slightly floral, almost perfumy nose. Medium body with some biscuity accents, sweetish malt and fruit. Very subdued bitterness. Quite drinkable. 290607
