12oz. Bottle: Aroma of grains, malts, and slight rye. Poured amber/orange in color with a tiny, tan head that disappeared quickly. Clear. Lightly sparkling. A few medium-sized particles. Flavor is lightly bitter and slightly sweet. Tastes of malts, nuts, and grains. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt and nut finish is lightly dry.

Tap at Capones. Pours a deep translucent dark amber with a bubbly/creamy off white lacing head. Aroma of sweet malts, toasted malt, molasses and nuts. Flavor of sweet malt extract, toffee nuts and grains. Too sweet and thin.

Pours a clear amber brown color with big foamy offwhite head. Aroma is sweet caramel with a bit of nuts and corn. Flavor sweet but pretty plain with a bit of boozy undertone. Overall, nothing special.

I liked it! Supried to see a rich brown color when poured from the bottle. Nice medium malt mouthfeel. Roasted grains and a bit of nut flavor. Even just a touch of hops.

Light tan head with slight lacing. Copper in color with a light medium body (more to the medium). Caramel nose with caramel, syrup, with some roasted malt on mouth. Decently balanced while a little more on the sweet side than I would like for a Marzen. The finish leaves me with a butter oily feeling.

Dark amber with fair, creamy tan head / Nose of sour malt / Light to medium body, sweet, malty and slightly syrupy, with low carbonation and hopping / Somewhat rancid flavors of sour malt and caramel / Poor.

Had from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Whoa buddy, way to sweet. I almost wonder if this didn’t fully atenuate or something... meh.

Pours red with an orange tinge. Very clear and glassy, like half of the pair of 3-D glasses. Nice bishop’s collar at the top of the glass. Earthy and gritty malt aroma, but with a very sweet candy-like aroma. Butterscotch. Nicely balanced with the shredded tobacco and dirt/soil. Really good. A mix of sweet butterscotch and sweet caramel. Some strong yeast. The sweetness dominates, but the earthy malt is a great, gritty balance. Does the job for sure. Smooth, buttery feel and oily too. A sweet (but not too sweet) Oktoberfest. Very drinkable and flavorful.
