From the bottle this poured a deep amber body, tinited with brown, and capped by a short-lived eggshell head. The aroma was sweet and malty with touches of caramel and molasses. Some burnt toast bitterness was added to the flavor and help to temper the sweetness. Okay, but there’s lots of other Oktoberfests out there to choose from.

Bright umber color when held to the light. Tall beige head. Quite dark by style, but a good looking brew. Sweet, and lightly sour scents. Light caramel and sour dough. A light infected aroma. Second bottle with the same scent so no bottle specific thing. Fairly light and fizzy feel. Flavors of lightly toasted on the verge of being rancid nuts. Mild sweet sour sauce. Either infected or a strange funky oktoberfest. I would wager the first, but reading some other reviews, I’m not sure.

Draft sample at MBGF07. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium toasted balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting brew.

Deep copper body with a huge medium khaki head. The aroma was strong with some sweet potatoes and lemonade. There was also some light caramel. The taste was sweet potatoes and light caramel. There was also some old leather that was actually kind of pleasant. However, I also got a little bit of band aid in the finish. Better than I expected.

Bottle thanks to Chuck. Poured medium caramel with a short cap of off-white head and some sediment in there. Aroma picked up lots of sour notes, which were not surprised after the explosive pour... some caramel deeper down, but mostly sour stuff. Flavor found the same sourness with some nutty notes represented.. a little vinegar rounds out the finish.. not good, but slightly better than the aroma. Light-bodied with sour vinegar and mild bitterness driving this in the wrong direction.

Bottle ( 12oz ). Shared with blankboy and garthicus. Clear copper pour, very large fluffy lasting off-white head (4-). Dry, slightly sour aroma - lightly fruity and midly floral-bitter - taste follows, a little less sour. Light, mildly acidic mouthfeel, solid carbonation, and a dry finish. Ehhh.

Bottle 355 ml, Appearance: Clear, dark brown brew with large, frothy, sea foam like head. Dark amber light see thru. Aroma: plain plumy sweetness with lighter hints, touch of brown sugar and fig. 6- Flavour/Palate: Medium bodied. Strange off - dried fruit bitterness with slight brown malts feel. Figs and bitter leaf on light base. Lacking life and harmony.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Light malt body with a nutty feel, hints of chestnuts, mild caramel body with some roasty malts. Grassy hop palate to finish.
