bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 3, 2009 I’ve had worse porters. I was expecting a harsh bourbon flavor, but it was not there. The palate was weak and it was a little watery. It didn’t have that robust, complex flavor I’ve come to enjoy with a good porter. But, it did go down easy and the ABV was very well hidden....just like the bourbon. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 17, 2009 Ugh...an awful Baltic Porter. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong about the details. I didn’t write the names and ABVs of these beers. Aroma was average. Dark roasted malt and a hint of coffee. Pour was a deep dark brown with no bubbles and a tin tan ring for a head. Flavor was almost carbonated water with coffee runoffs. I can’t imagine a beer with this little flavor was supposed to be like this. No carbonation or aftertaste.
