Light brown. Slight haze. The aroma shows a fair bit of pedio with maybe some roast notes. Tart, some cherryish notes. Watery towards the finish. Light roast. This one is too tart and the stank aroma is not cool at all.

Pours a semi-transparent dark mahogany with a small frothy light tan head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts and semi-sweet and tart black cherries. Starts with some fizzy effervescence and mild dark caramel sweetness with some light cherry flavor and tartness. Finishes pretty smooth and sweet tart. Could use some more body and balance, but a decent attempt at a difficult style.

Dark brown with a hint of garnet. Moderate, foamy, diminishing, khaki colored head. A roasted vegetable scent. Maybe some dark cherries, but not much to discuss aroma-wise. Cherries do come into play in the flavors. Tart dark cherries in the front. Thin in feel. Not much as a malt backdrop. Some black malt acidity and just a bit of roasted malt flavor. Might be ok for a marinade.

Bottle from Party Source. Poured reddish black color with an average off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate cherry roasted malt a/roma. Medium tart cherry malt and coffee flavor and tart cherry finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable SWEET STOUT.

Bottle. Pours deep ruby with off-khaki head. Nose is dark malt, mild cherry, choc, with flavors of dark malt, limited cherry, some cacao. Not very complex, and the flavor is a bit muddled. Not horrible, but not something I’d buy again.

Bottle. Poured with the obvious black hue, but a mere whisper of a head. Can’t say I’m a fan of the aroma on this one -- almost dirty socky. But this delivers a pleasant enough drink, with a sweet twist on an ashy dark fruit base. (#3698, 10/18/2009)

Draft at barcade. Pours a black body with an of white head. Sweet medicinal cherry iron and hemoglobin like bloody taste. Eh just bad, couldn’t finish a pint.
