Nice blond color in the glass. Aroma is of slight malt, hops and esters. Finish is nearly clean. Everything a 1.048 Kolsch styled beer should be. Very nice to drink a few of. I found some at a Tigers game, no Bud for me thank you.

Tap at Pacific Standard. Not really a Kolsch, but not a bad lager, really. Piss yellow pour, clear, with little head. Light but doughy, with pie crust and lockerroom in the aroma. Almond cookie flavor, clean and simple, but rather full bodied. Not too bad.

Ok - it is a Kolsch. Great in the summer. I don’t mind it then. I think that milewide is completely off in his nasty review.

Tasted 5/13/08. 12oz bottle. Huge pillowy head. Hazy with a golden straw hue. Super lively. Mild yeasty doughy citrus aroma. Touch bready and caramel. Big effervescence. Light bodied and mildly tart. Touch appley. Citrus and bitter, yet crisp. Mild malts. Not bad, just slight.

This Kolsch style beer has a fizzy, rather large head, white in color with fair lacing and an average to long longevity. Straw colored is a very true description of its hue, yet slightly cloudy/hazy. No particles present and average carbonation. Light malt character with a sweet bread smell. Very light hop aroma with a hint of citrus and a sweet barn aroma. A mild banana scent was also noticed. The alcohol was undetectable. Flavor is smooth, sweet and light with lots of carbonation and a very mild bitter finish. A light astringincy was also noticed. The overall view was that this would be a good session beer. It tastes better than it smells (like cheap light beer). Would be easy to drink in larger amounts. Also would be a good craft brew starter beer for the typical macro-brew light beer drinker.

i like this kolsch. it has complex flavors (THOUGH LITE) and it is refreshing low in calories and still somewhat flavorful and with a decent body. TOUCH OF DISHWATER AND FRUIT FLAVORS THAT WEAVE IN AND OUT A TOUCH OF BANANA AND A WHEATY COMPOSURE WITH ACCOMPANYING SPICE. it was worked thru and i think somewhat succesful. nice palate that is chalky and still refreshingly slick in the mid palate. the carbonation works here.

Bottle: The aroma has moderate amounts of Euro-lager sweeness with some light grassy bitterness. Pours a bright transparent gold with a small fizzy white head that diminishes quickly. The flavor starts with a light Euro-lager sweetness with a hint of lemon. The finish has a light grassy bitterness. Light bodied with somewhat of a fizzy mouthfeel.

pretty awful overall..golden body with minimal head..this beer kinda smells like an old, vacant school room...earthy, grassy body that is mildly malty...finishes oddly sour...this beer does however belong in detroit (along side of the equally filthy city...) enough said
