| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Bottle - Pours a dark reddish brown in color with a fairly thick tannish head that did not fade too quickly. Aroma is malty/yeasty with little evidence of hops. Flavor is mellow and malty with a nutty character. Sorta sweet with a bit too little hops to balance things out. Finish is brief and malty. Enjoyable and easy drinking. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

I couldnt get past that carbonation. FROTHINGSLOSH (2036), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Sep 15, 2004 Updated: Jun 3, 2006This beer came to me via a beer club and is not a brewery I am familiar with. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle the beer poured a dark brown color with a small tan head that faded quickly. The scent was strongly sour and almost skunky. The flavor was light and malty with a hint of skunkyness. It did manage to taste better than it smelled. A bit of sour malt lingers on the aftertaste. Overall this is a drinkable but not particularly impressive beer. CaptainCougar (5524), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Starts mildly sugary sweet with a touch of roasted malts toward the finish. Clean and crisp without any off-flavors, not a bad dunkel, just not all that interesting either. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 7, 2004 Pours dark ruby with a nice tan head. Taste had a little raisin, a little caramel, and a little nuttiness. Body is thin. Seems like it could use a little more of everything.
It was easy drinking. Where easy drinking is defined as light bodied without much flavor. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA

Flavor starts off interesting, somewhat like a dopplebock light but immediately falls flat. The finish is astringent and metallic. Thin body. Weak.
