Commercial Description:
Our malty, sweet dark lager is a hometown favorite. Our Dunkel is packed with subtle roasted malt flavors without the excessive bitterness and heaviness of many dark beers and has a balanced hop finish. O.G. 13.5 Plato 5.2% ABV

watery for a dunkel. Ruby red in appearance, not as dark as I expected. Huge head and tempting aroma - it just doesn’t deliver on taste. Palate is medium to light bodied with minimum aftertaste.

pours a clear dark brown with a tan head. caramel malt, grass, some wood on the nose. taste has malty grassy notes, very sudtle roast notes. mid-bodied with a fizzy, bubbly mouthfeel. quick shot of bitterness hits on the tail end. pretty refreshing, but not very exciting. if you like dark lagers/dunkels you’ll probably enjoy it. might make a good intro brew that you could use to convince your compadres to enjoy good beer.

(Bottle) Pours a brown color with a huge beige head. Actually foamed out of the bottle when I opened it up (not a good sign). Dusty aroma includes some cocoa and grass or tobacco. Taste was similar, with only subtle notes of dark malts that one would expect in a dunkel. Overcarbonated as well. Maybe I got a bad bottle, but I was thoroughly unimpressed by this beer.

This was a little weak to be a dunkel. This was closer to a dark lite beer, if that makes sense. The color was a clear brown with some roastedness, but not alot.Mouthfeel was thin and finish was slightly bitter that hug out way too long.

This is a nice dunkel. Nothing to get excited about but extremely drinkable and easy to enjoy. Aroma of roasted malt with a hint of earth. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a one finger close to tan head. Taste was a little thin...chocolate and roasted malt all the way with big carbonation that kind of takes away from the flavor. A suprisingly dry finish that is light and a tad bitter. Pretty good.

Pours cloudy brown with way, way too much head. Nose is faint roasted malt. Flavor of crystal malt and hospital coffee with a faint hops bitterness. Watery. Forgettable.

(12oz bottle) Enormous beige head atop clear copper body. Aroma is medium sweet, nut, some lager lemon, caramel, light earthy. Taste is medium sweet, nut, chocolate/caramel, light raisin, lager yeast sourness. Effervescent light-medium body.

Bottle pours a red tinted brown; with medium to large off white head. Aroma was ok; with fruit, roasted malt, chocolate, and some floral notes. Flavor was generally sweet; with predominate flavors being roasted malt and nuts. Body was a little light and watery. Decent overall.
