Bottle thanks to doclock: Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Aroma, pale malts, some yeast, a slight grassy hop to it, and some faint spicing. Flavor, light malts, bready, some grassy hops, crisp and clean finish. Pretty solid brew.

A double pilsner with half the hops. A little thin. Maybe I would have liked it more with more munich malt or a higher mash temperature. By no means a bad beer. Super smooth and clean. Rochester Mills has a maibock that I thought was very good.

Dear goodness, I wish I could wash the mental scars of this beer from my memory ~ what an f-ing disaster. Pours light copper with a sudsy off-white head.... after the appearance everything goes to hell. The aroma has stale malt, off-putting musty caramel and a truckload of diacetyl. Aroma = horrid. Against my better judgment I then attempted to drink it. Medium / thin body with fairly sharp carbonation. The taste is metallic and sharp with traits of medicine and butter - should a beer have some beer traits in the taste? The finish is astringent and tinny. I only drank enough to get notes, any further tasting would have been just masochistic. With beers like this I have no idea how these guys stay in business. I have yet to have a good beer from them. Thumbs so far down they’re stuck in the ground. This had been at my beer shop for one day before I got it and tried it, so age shouldn’t be an issue.

Golden color with a medium white head. Grainy aroma with some light & sweet malts. Taste was a bit sweet with some grainy-raw malt flavors. This tasted alot like a cheaper beer and kind of disappoints.

Bottle from Capone’s. I love maibocks, and this one was nice. Dark straw pour with 2-finger off-white head, more white than off-white. Aroma of caramelly malt, hopcitrus, and prominant fruit. I got quite a bit of fruit from the aroma and taste here. In addition to the fruity taste, I got caramel malt, hops, and some mild chardonnay notes, with a lingering finish that I found delightful rather than offputting. I liked this one so much I went back and scooped up another case! Except for Jerome Bettis, this is the best thing that ever came out of Detroit.

Floral and mild grainy aroma. Clear golden with no head. Good balance of mild sweet malts and mild bitter hops. Farily smooth entry with a mild bitter finish.

Bottle, from trade with walleye. Ok aroma. Sweet. Grainy, grassy, bready. Lite citrus/orange when cold turned to honey as it warmed. Very litelyhazed orangy gold colorsmall head that faded to nothing. Sweet bitter flavors, like aroma, Grainy, grassy. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, sharp bitter finish. Seemed too grainy from what I think of for a maibock, though as I type I see we call it a heller bock. Didn’t get the fruitiness that I see some did. Oh well. Thanks walleye.

Hazy orange body, medium off-white head. Sweet aroma with strong notes of honey. Strongly carbonated body with honey, light fruits, biscuit, and warming alcohol. Sharp bitter finish. The body is sweet but I find the most dominant characteristic to be the lingering, potent finish, which becomes a bit too much after a few sips.
