Bottle from Capone’s. I love maibocks, and this one was nice. Dark straw pour with 2-finger off-white head, more white than off-white. Aroma of caramelly malt, hopcitrus, and prominant fruit. I got quite a bit of fruit from the aroma and taste here. In addition to the fruity taste, I got caramel malt, hops, and some mild chardonnay notes, with a lingering finish that I found delightful rather than offputting. I liked this one so much I went back and scooped up another case! Except for Jerome Bettis, this is the best thing that ever came out of Detroit.

12oz bottle. Absolute gusher, two inch foamy soapy lasting head. When it finally all made it into the glass it did look pretty nice. Orange amber color, quite murky and thick. The aroma has a nice hop and Bocky malt balance. The taste is relatively straightforward, quality sweet malt. Perfectly balanced, the hops are present, but never overbearing. Great Maibock.

Bottle received from Doclock as part of Mystery swap 2.0. Malt dominates, some grassiness, hops on the finish, very easy drinking. 7.5? didn’t notice! Very decent brew!

Light amber/orange body with a small white head. The aroma is bread, biscuit and honey. The flavor is honey, pear and light caramel. The mouthfeel is soft and smooth. Nice.

from the bottle. poured a honey with a white head that didn’t stay around very long but left some lacing. aroma sugar, yeast, light fruits like pears, apples. flavor, almost a cotton candy type of sweetness, malts, wow is this beer sweet, almost to the point of being too sweet.

on tap at the brewery, in my "member mug". a clear light orange color like most maibocks, with a yeasty fruity aroma - strawberry, pear, other light fruits, and some sweet malt. sweet taste but dry finish....a good effort for certain.

Hazy orange body, medium off-white head. Sweet aroma with strong notes of honey. Strongly carbonated body with honey, light fruits, biscuit, and warming alcohol. Sharp bitter finish. The body is sweet but I find the most dominant characteristic to be the lingering, potent finish, which becomes a bit too much after a few sips.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub in North Huntingdon PA this beer poured a dark golden-amber color with a small white head. The aroma was light sweet, and tangy malts with a hint of fruitiness. The flavor was tangy, malty and slightly fruity with a hint of hops and bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel was fairly thick.
