| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Tap at Barcade. Slightly hazy, pale golden pour with a tight creamy white head. The nose is quite clean with some crackery malt character. Fairly clean and fresh with a nice herbal hop character. Lightly floral with a touch of zestiness. It’s actually a pretty nice pilsner. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Tap at Barcade: Hazy golden with a white film that retains well. The aroma has a wafery/crackery pils presence with very little hop character- mainly pale grains. Light crisp body- fairly clean. Dry with some sulfuric notes and earthy pils character. Seems more like the Czech style pilsners with a flowery hop presence on the back. Not bad, could be more crisp and dry. ucusty (1900), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 11/20 | Aug 28, 2009 Bottle from wine and things in north Raleigh. Gusher. Clear amber pour, a little darker than anticipated. Fluffy off white head and thick spotty lace. Over carbonated and slightly too much body (with no complexity), if that makes any sense. Grainy aroma and flavor, but the interesting thing was the level acidity here considuring the style guidelines chandler0201 (351), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Aug 21, 2009 What the heck was the deal with the carbonation on this? As soon as I popped the cap the sucker was gushing everywhere and nothing would make it stop. Head was large and unbalanced, flavor was malty sort of but really watered down. Mediocre is kind here. agillespie81 (203), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | May 19, 2009 Golden color...extremely thick, fluffy head that has great lacing. Light malt aroma, with just a slight hop nose. Mild taste of malt up front...very smooth mouthfeel for the style. Back is somewhat sweet, with a hint of citrus flavor. Finish has a hop tang similar to that of a pale ale. Finally...an American brewed pilsener with a noticeable flavor profile. This brew is very unique, and put together extraordinarily well. fly (1332), austin, Tejas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 10, 2009 Way too f’ing carbonated. Or perhaps it was some other problem. Bordered on being a gusher - or like a gusher in slo mo. Clean and crisp? Not in my book. Couldn’t find a date on it, but perhaps that was the problem. Huge head I will say. Sweet N sour and a bit muddled and difficult to discern under all the foam. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 15, 2009 12 oz bottle from gputty. Clear, deep gold pur with a nice, thick white head. Lots of carbonation bubbles - a pretty pour. Sweet cereal aroma, a bit corny and somewhat honey-like. Flavor starts out sweet, honey and more grain - kinda got me wondering where the hops went. Then I found them - a sharp grass bite that lingers. Grapefruit rind notes late in the finish. Beautiful sheetlike lace. A pretty nice drinker, and seems underrated to me. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Pour is a golden with a large whtie head. Aroma has some slight bready malts with a grassy hop. Flavor is again some malt and grass but the finish is way too sour. Something went wrong here at the end. There are much better out there.
