(12oz bottle) White head atop crystal clear straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, straw, honey, light bread/caramel. Taste is medium sweet, grassy/straw, some bread. Fair amount of bitterness. Watery light-medium body, faint creaminess.

Pours a transparent pale golden with a large foamy white head. Aroma of pale malt and some fresh Saaz hops. Body starts with some mild sweetness and hoppy bitterness for balance before a slightly estery, drier finish. A decent pils.

Tap at Barcade. Slightly hazy, pale golden pour with a tight creamy white head. The nose is quite clean with some crackery malt character. Fairly clean and fresh with a nice herbal hop character. Lightly floral with a touch of zestiness. It’s actually a pretty nice pilsner.

Clear golden of body with a fizzy white head that delicately laces the glass. It’s got a soft, bready aroma with a light herbal hopping. Medium-to-light in body. The flavor is fresh buttered bread with some grasses and a snappy hop bitterness in the finish. Not shabby.

Draft sample at MBGF. Hazy pale color with a large frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate hoppy citruas aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium bitter citrus flavor with a medium citrus finish of moderate duration.

My first Atwater beer, and I am impressed. Bottle from the Beer Yard. The pour is gold with 2-finger white head and a good dose of carbonation, coupled with a ton of floaties which remain suspended in the glass. At times, the carbonation is floating up while the floaties drift down, and the entire effect is mesmerizing. At one point, I was staring at this beer like I was reading the Wall Street Journal, and mywife said "What the hell are you doing?" Perhaps the best appearance of all time due to this fabulous effect. The aroma was classic pils, with a hopcitric base, plus some honey pale malts and slight fruit (apricots). The palate was medium density, with flavors of heavy pale malty honey, plus the aforementioned apricots and hopcitrus. Well balanced, complex, and you really have to see this one to believe it!

Sampled draught at the Michigan Brewers Fest. Watery dark amber with no real head, does not look even remotely like a pils should...very light grassy nose that you have to work to find...body lightly malty with bare wisps of grassy hops, watery and bland mouthfeel, perhaps a hint of maple towards the end, perhaps I will not drink this agian.
