| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 4, 2006 Bottle. Nice roasty amber ale. Clear amber/brown color, very little head, and a moderately sweet aroma. Flavor has a sweet maltiness and a bit of a citrusy hint. Fairly well-balanced palate, but maybe a bit watery. Overall, pretty good. RAYBOY01 (1856), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 14, 2006 Sweet caramel and toffee maltiness. Very rich, round, creamy texture. Some light citrusy notes as well. A light herbal hoppiness in the finish. Eminently drinkable. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 2, 2006 Bottle from Beer Yard variety case. The pour is dark straw colored, not going toward bornw but rather in the deep coppery/straw realm., with a 1-finger white head. Aroma of hops, tart roasty malts, some fruit, and cabernet. The flavor is very tart, with some pale malts and maibocky fruits (apricots, pears). Medium to light palate, this one isn’t as dense or fruity as a maibock, but has a tart cabernet low level feel to it in flavor and palate. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 31, 2006 Aroma is grassy and slightly tart. It’s a pale amber color with a thin, quickly fading, off white head. Thin, tart fruity fore with some acidity that makes me think this may be the world’s most low key Flemish Sour. Some mild hearty grain notes int he middle and the finish is again tart and acidic. This is probably not what it was meant to be and yet it is curiously enjoyable. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 30, 2006 Orange body, hazy, medium off-white head. Toasty aroma with caramel, earthy hops, and a touch of diacetyl. Rather sharp, tart body, with caramel and lemony fruit in addition to biscuits and notes of butterscotch. Acidic and a bit funky. cheapdark (2026), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 22, 2008 I was expecting some kind of amber ale and when I tasted this I was pleasantly surprised by it’s enjoyability. The smell is an off beery aroma. The look of this is somewhat like cloudy iced tea. On the palate it provides an above average creamy carbonation. The taste is haylike and fun without any bitter unsavoriness. I find it rather likable with farmlike attributes. Overall almost pleasurable and even perhaps repeatable. Pleased to have sampled this brew. jtw (943), farmington, Michigan, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2007 pours a medium amber color with a thin whitish head - moderate aroma of malt and lager-like characteristics (must, "cold", olive) but not bad. medium body but finishes slightly thin with a slightly medicinal taste as well, but not offensive in any way. drinkable - much better on draft at the brewery.
