Faint buttery toasted floral nose with lesser grassy citric notes. Light peppery citrus hop flavor sits on hints of sweet malt from start to finish. Light bodied and thin, fizzy carbonation, dry bitter finish. Not a fan... ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 10, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours a proper light orange color with a mostly pure white head. Dry-hopped with cascade, it says, so I knew what to expect, but the nose had more a dryness cheese and bread note than I think it should. Lacks juiciness, oilyness and "dankness" that I crave in good IPA, and the flavor also has this cheese (or foot sweat) and bread (croutons?) note that intruded on the slghtly stale, slightly dry hop flavors. Bitterness was light for IPA, and overall this beer sits in the middle of the road. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Trade, thanks, I got a lot of citrus in the nose and mouth, this was a solid IPA not meant to be a double or Impy, rate accordingly. SkyinBrian (429), Collinsville, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2007 kind of on the sweet and fruity side with a very lemony finish. Actually one of the more citrus tasing beers I have had in a while. I rate this farily mediocre, but still drinkable. Not really sure why I ended up with a six pack of this but I hadn’t heard of Atwater and this was in the cooler of my local liquor store. Next time I may stick with something a bit more familiar from this store. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 21, 2007 Pours pale amber—the color of apple juice—with a large white head. Very soapy aroma, maybe because of the huge amount of foam. Hints of pine and orange zest linger beneath. Great malty beginning: biscuity, I would almost say English. The hops kick in halfway through. Very citrusy, spicy. Peppery, even. The hops stick a bit much in the back of the throat, resinous and a tad astringent. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2007 bottle - Pours copper with a two finger head and lots of floating yeast. The head lingers nad laces well. It has a fairly mild citrus hops aroma. Medium bodied and well balanced, it leaves a crisp, bitter finish that stays around a long time as is the nature of IPAs. I’m surprised at how low the ratings are here as I didn’t find it thin, rough, or bland. It’s not an outstanding IPA, but it’s a very good, solid beer and certainly has the hop profile of an IPA. greco (41), Zeeland, Michigan, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 1, 2007 On tap in the brewery. Very average IPA by a brewery that used to be very good. drfabulous (1241), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Sep 1, 2007 A surprisingly uninspired IPA from what should be the city’s premier brewpub - location, location, location. Yet the beers still underachieve.
