Crystal malt aroma with very faint biscuit and a touch of floating fruit. Some floral tones with musty lemon/citrus. Yellowish side of copper body with a short soapy beige head, superb head retention. Lightly bitter, lightly tangy taste resolves into a nicer, very dry, bready aftertaste that lasts. Sweetish with some natural grapefruit in the mid-body, some chewy caramel character and more of that nice musty hop funk. Dusty, sweaty, spicy - all compliments. There’s a sort of cellared English hop quality that I really enjoy. Light-medium body. Comparable to other good, sessionable, enjoyable IPAs that ultimately don’t separate from the pack; that said, this is underrated. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 5, 2008 Nice crystal clear coloured golden body with a super dense (meaning HUGE) white head. Aroma of fresh citrus hops, apples, malt, corn, apricots and even more hops. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour up front with a good citrus and piney taste mellowing out with some malt near the end. Aftertaste shows the bitter hops, with a bit of an alcoholic kick. Overall, a good IPA, not amazing - but a good offering from a local Detroit brewery! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased yesterday from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 04-May-2008. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | May 4, 2008 This is not an IPA. I dont know what this is, but I doubt this is an IPA. Pours a clear darker macro yellow, but lighter than Sam Adams. Some bubbles. Weak corny sweetness in the nose. Something suggests hops... not any specific varieties mind you. Fizzy, but a bit on the syurpy side somehow. Hops come out more in the flavor, but the corny sweetness still holds true. No malt, all adjunct. Maybe some hints of alcohol. This is sweeter hopped up HighLife. Not enjoyable. nuplastikk (1206), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2008 12oz bottle. Golden straw colored blonde beer, with a rich foamy head. Heavy citrus aroma. Light and refreshing as an English IPA, but with the American signature Cascade hop profile. Creamy and sweet. A well done American IPA. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Apr 19, 2008 12 oz gusher. I mean it poured out. When it finally stopped it was a hazy peach color and smelled alot like sulphur. I somehow swallowed the first drink but could go no further.Foamy foamy foamy. In all the beers I’ve had this has to be the worst American brewed beer I’ve had. I will re-rate if I come across another bottle. This bottle was stored in the frige from the day I got it until the day I opened it. Yuck this was one sick puppy. can8ianben (904), Pasadena, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Classicly done IPA. Nice citrus hoppy aroma, appearance is dark golden with a frothy head, flavour is sweet and syrupy with a smooth bitter finish and a good mouthfeel. I’m left wanting a bit bigger flavour, but overall its very solid. dkachur (2402), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Good lord, this is a gusher. Bottle from Degarth. Pours a slighly hazy peach color with a head of epic proportions. Retention is also epic. Will I ever get to drink this? Good lord, I just noticed I still have two thirds in the bottle! See you in half an hour! Well, that was really only like 25 minutes, and once all the head on the sides of the bottle condenses I’ll probably have another sip or two. Aroma is honey-ish with a floral hop profile. Smells really nice to be but that might be because I’m freaking thirsty by now. Major citrus... kind of like eating a grapefruit. The honey-like sweetness is in the taste as well. Thin mouthfeel and the aftertaste is a bit too bitter. A little bit off balance.
