Dark, highly carbonated with thin head (looked lika a cola). Notes of roasted malts and soy in the aroma. Balanced flavour with roasted malts dominating. Very smooth and full-bodied

A beer of contradictions. Pours a deep brownish-red, almost black. Not much in the aroma category...maybe a little fruitiness. Nice, fairly heavy palate. Taste is interesting. Has a sour fruit (plum, prune?) taste up front. Finishes fairly smooth. The heaviness one would expect from a porter comes late. Not a bad beer.

12oz, an extra from walleye. pour black with nice tan head. nose is pretty bad, sour milk. flavor is of sour milk, really light roasted notes, subtle smoke and milk chocolate. nothing good in the taste. pretty watery too. a 6% baltic porter? okay. this isn’t good at all.

Very dark brown color with a small dissapearing brown head. Weak aroma of roast, milk and figs. Flavor is sweet with figs and some sourness. Could almost pass for soda pop.

Nice, dark pour, Lots of head, leaves quickly. Very sweet aroma, caramel, Flavor is very Citrus like, kind of like a key lime pie, with some roasted malts, Smoke,or one that was left in the oven too long! not really a bad flavor, just something sour/lemony about it...interesting.hummm.. But drinkable! Thank to Duane for the bottle!

Black body with a large inital head of large brown bubbles that dissapated to nothing quickly. Some roasty malts, but molasses carmel, figs, and some plums were more prevelent. Sour fruits up front, not like lemons, but more fruits that had soured a bit, molasses and a burt bitterness at the finish. Eh.

Pours a two finger light tan head that fades to a thin layer leaving a little lace. Black color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Roasted coffee nose. Starts as roasted coffee but quickly becomes dry and medicinal which lingers. $1.69 for a 12oz bottle from John’s Grocery Iowa City, IA.

Courtesy of Ohiodad. Thanks again, Scott. The aroma is lightly sour and lactic with overripe fruit and warm garbage aromas. Not a good sign. It pours dark brown and settles dark brown to black with a diminishing tan head that is just shy of a thumb’s thickness. <P> Chocolate and dark fruit fore. Slightly tart in an off way with hints of stale coffee, light smoke and mild roast malts. This is almost good, but it has some flaws and what is done right is not very intense or varied. Pretty foregettable.
