Pour is black with a average tan head. Aroma has a nice roastness to it but not much else. Flavor is super sour! Some bitter chocolate shows up but the sourness gets in the way. Why is this so sour? Not real good pass when you see this one.

Bottle. Poured a black color with a moderate brown frothy head that was lasting. Moderate roasted malty aroma. Medium to full body with smooth texture. Balanced sweet roasted malt flavor with a small bitter bite at the finish. Good porter.

It think this is thankfully the last bottle I have from this brewery. Pours very dark brown with a fizzy tan head. The aroma has some roasted malt and a bit of lactic notes and is a bit sour. Aroma seems quite thin. Medium / thin body with sharp carbonation. Flavor starts with lots of sourness that is quite citric along with some underlying roasted malt. The finish is still sour and lightly spicy. Another lackluster beer from a disappointing brewery.

Deep and dark with a nice little head, this beer is a pleasant view. Aroma is almost non-existant but some roastiness is present. Flavor is robust for a porter and is full of coffee, chocolate, and roasted nuts. Some sweet malt adds some dimension. The foam stays put and adds some creaminess to the mouth feel. There is just a hint of bitterness to the aftertaste.

poured near black with a ruby edge and a short lived tan head. aroma was roasted malt, chocolate and just the slightest hint of some smoke. flavor was more of the same but detected a lingering strange medicine taste. not bad, just couldn’t quite get over that strange flavor.

12oz bottle via trade with Duane! - Thanks - Pours black with a short tan head that doesn’t stay very long. Aromas of roast, chocolate, and some dark fruits. Flavor is dark chocolate, some smoke, dark fruits roasted malt, and molasses.. Medium body with a fair amount of carbonation. Interesting brew and pretty tasty too..

The aroma seems promising, heavy on the roasted side, taste is powerful roasted which deteriorates into rather extreme coffee bean bitterness, little hints of chocolate, not at all the Baltic Porter style, and since when is a Porter a lager?
