Why do I like funky, sour, infected porters so much? There is clearly something wrong with this beer. Pours dark brown with a pretty massive light tan head. Nose is kind of fucked up... bitter coffee grounds, some trash, some cocoa, burnt vanilla. Aromas of waxy chocolate Easter bunnies. Also, big hit of what marshmallows smell/taste like after putting them in the microwave until the sugar burns. Scary but sort of alluring. Like sometimes your fingers smell like shit but you can’t stop smelling them... wait, is that just me? Tastes similarly weird and slightly offensive, but I keep wanting more. I feel dirty for liking this beer.

pours beep brown with tan head. aroma is very sugary vanilla and chocolate with bittersweet coffee. drinks very thin and imitated is really what i think of. everything just seems like a concentrate added to a poor porter. not my cup of tea...or anything really.

A mighty strange brew; strange but interesting at the same time! There is a cany made by Joyva called Ring Jellies - they are dark chocolate covered rasperry jellies that are soooooo prevalent in the nose and taste of this beer! The vanilla I do not find; the Ring Jellies I taste! Interesting! The body does not live up to the traditional Porter mouthfeel! Great appearance and fantastic tight bubbled head!

This beer doesn’t look bad, with a cola color and a small off white head. It goes down hill with an awful, artificial vanilla and cheap chocolate nose. The artificial problems continue in the taste, with a slippery vanilla, sweetened coffee and bitter chocolate, all of which seem created in the lab. This is an actively bad beer.

Disappointed. Pours with bubbles similar to a bottle of coke with a head that disappears faster than a coke. Even tastes like a sour version of coke. Very thin in body. Not smooth on the palate like most porters I’ve tried.

Taste 10/9 bottle. Looks:Quickly fading tan head on a dark cherry body. Aroma: Mild vanilla and coffee with a soy sauce astringency. Taste: Same as aroma. Soy sauce hits in the middle with a coffee and very mild vanilla finish. Mouthfeel is watery and sugary.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma of light vanilla, chocolate and coffee. Flavor was sweet vanilla, chocolate and roasted malts with a slightly dry finish.

Brewed in the USA... Pours chestnut brown in color with a small lasting off white head. Aroma of malts and dry apricots. Taste is much of the same !!! Not sure what is going on here? Where is the chocolate and vanilla? This so called porter is thin in body with stinging sour finish. :(
