Not bad, but certainly not great. Having experimented with vanilla in porters, it just does not work. Maybe there are better vanilla porters out there...if so please email me!!

This was a nice porter and VERY much vanilla in taste. This would be good with or poured over some Breyer’s Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. A nearly opaque, dark brown color resembling cola. Funky, metallic, mocha aroma. Light to medium body with a thin, dry texture. Strange, tangy, tart flavor with a bitter aftertaste. Unimpressive.

this beer was good. Very sweet. almost too sweet. ALMOST. I really enjoyed sipping this beer. It’s a winner. For a porter thought..... its too sweet. Maybe this should have been label a sweet stout. I don’t know - enjoy one a night - no more than that.

12oz bottle. Pours black in color with full foamy brown head. Aroma of roasted coffee and lite vanilla. Taste roasted coffee and vanilla with light coffee bitter.

Bottle. Pour is deep brown to near black. Aroma is roasty with big coffee notes. I’m not picking up much vanilla in the aroma at all. Basically smells like a coffee porter. Taste is a bit more coffee, some light lactic tartness, roasted malts, and light cocoa. Still, not much vanilla to this. Body is light-medium with bubbly carbonation. More lactic astringency and light coffee bitterness. Finishes with more coffee, roasted malts, cocoa, and tartness. A let down, really.

Pours pitch black with a tan head that is very airy and bubble filled. Nose is strongest with roasted coffee tones. Mild vanilla there yes. Wow. What a weird flavor. On the first swig, I got such an oddly sweet hit that I didn’t think I would be able to have another sip, let alone finish the whole damn thing. I hoped it would turn into something else as time went on, but it didn’t. Way too tangy. Just sings a bit too high. Feel is okay on the liquid and it has a pretty high carbonation. But overall this is one unbalanced beer. Such a weird tangy thing going on that I just can’t hang.
