Bottle. Smells like coffee and vanilla, what a surprise. gritty fizzy coffee flavor with thinner body. Dry chalkyness throughout. I just did not like this beer.

Interesting Porter. Kind of just another run-of-the-mill porter. Kind of a "meh" porter. I think it would’ve been better if there were more vanilla like i thought it was going to be.

Appearance: Pours a black body with a fizzy, short-lived head. Smell: The aroma smells of gas station coffee left to scorch upon the burner for far too long. Oh, and with just a wisp of vanilla. Taste: More of the roasty low-grade coffee with a light sweetness. There’s really never more than just a hint of vanilla extract. Finishes watery with a bit of sourness. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Watery. Harshly spritzy. Drinkability: Not overly pleasant, either in taste or aroma. Also, painfully overcarbonated.

opaque dark brown, wispy tan head, big espresso and dark chocolate aroma with a slight ashy character, rich chocolate flavor, big tobacco sourness kicks in to ruin what the aroma promised,

On tab in the brewery. No head to speak of. Kind of watery. It tasted like a cup of coffee and the vanilla was barely noticable.

Bottle. Smells of a slight roasted coffee aroma, with a touch of vanilla. To be honest this beer was only so-so in the flavor department. It was far too subtle, and to be honest was a little weak and watery.

Bottle; pours a dark brown with a smallish, short lasting light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, and coffee. This was a good idea, but tasted quite strange. Palate was off; too thin. Flavor was similar to the aroma, with some slight milkiness. Could have done without the vanilla; just not a big fan of the use of vanilla extract.

12oz. Bottle: Medium sweet, but astringent, aroma. Smells of chocolate, vanilla, alcohol, and astringent. Poured black in color with a large, foamy, tan head that diminish, but lasted throughout. Flavor is heavily sweet. Tastes of chocolate malts, a little roasting, dried dark fruits, sourdough, glass bottle, cardboard, astringent, and more malts. Light to medium body. Thin, watery texture. Soft carbonation. Sweet, salty, malty finish. Overall, way too sweet and malty, and thin to boot.
