| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2009 pours brown, like typical porter. nose of nothing specific. mouthfeel like watered-down coffee and, well, nothing but light light light. taste is very subtle, brief coffee and faint roast. there’s vanilla in here? hardly anything to make this memorial. mcferc4 (57), New Jersey, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 1/20 | Apr 15, 2009 Weak, weak sauce. The only drainpour in recent memory. Thin, cloying and artificial vanilla notes. Watery. See ya. LinusStick (1846), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2009 This is a decent porter that I’ve had many times, but haven’t rated it til now. Aroma was decent. Thin pool water with a hint of vanilla. Pour was a flat dark brown with no head or bubbles. Taste was weak in the beginning, but the aftertaste brings out all that is tasteful in this beer. The swallow brings a little flavor or heavily carbonated chocolate (Yoo Hoo?) with strong vanilla and roasted malt coming out in the aftertaste. Great biting carbonation makes this beer enjoyable. kennydiaz (185), staten island, New York, USA

It was not the robust porter it advertised but a beer trying to find an identity. The vanilla extract just destroyed it and I was wondering why I wasted $8 for a six pack. daknole (2941), Plantation, Florida, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 7, 2009 Bottle from my cousin sam. This one smells like it might be a winner. Good roast, vanilla, some light chocolate and coffee. And the first sip seems to represent an ok beer. But quickly as you sip it gets worse and worse and worse. The lactic sourness starts to dominate and as your palate gets used to the flavor you see that this was brewed with vanilla extract instead of beans. This could have been really good, but it wasnt. suchen (81), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 7, 2009 What is this beer’s deal? Did Atwater try to make it mineralized like an English beer or something? Very bitter, tart flavor? It fizzed like a soda when I poured it leaving zero head on an almost opaque beer. Extremely disappointing given the name. Should be sued for false advertising. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 6, 2009 12 Bottle from BOTW. I’m wasn’t overly impressed, the aromas and flavors came across as artificial and the carbonation was really tight and harsh. Still I drank it down relatively quickly.
