Pours brown with a surprisingly fizzy, very active off-white head. The constant bubbling of the head was a bit weird. Aroma is surprisingly lager-esque of grains, rice wine vinegar, and malt with a hint of coffee in the background. The flavor has more coffee with notes of caramel syrup, wheat grains, and rice. Slight bitter chocolate finish. A bit watery and weak. Tastes like someone spilled a bit of coffee porter into a full glass of lager. This is weird.

Dec 24, 2009 Dark brown/amber with a large, aggressive tan head that settled to a holf inch. Hoppy, cherry and coffee aroma. Thin, carbonated mouthfeel with slight bitter finish. Coffee with some sweetness, but overall a bit weak in flavor. OK, but nothing special.

^coffee ^co2 T1, ^vanilla §chclt-malt T2, chrcl vanilla-funk T3.
too^co2, coffee and vanilla overpowers the nice chclt-malt and golding-hop flavors.

Dec 19, 2009 In the bottle. Explosive dark beige head that shot about half of the beer on the floor. Sour milk aroma. Very acidic and tart flavor masks everything else except for a small finishing coffee taste. A drain pour, actually. I’m pretty certain that it is not supposed to be this bad. I suspect a bad batch.

Dec 8, 2009 Bottle. Dark amber-black with almost nonexistent head. Aroma of candy cherry and vanilla, sense almost no coffee. Taste like artificial cherry and vanilla, slight coffee bite, off-putting. I have no idea what they were going for here, whatever it was they missed it big time.

Appearance: murky light brown with medium sized mid dark tan on top .
Nose: rough , even bit wild , raspberry , spice , candi , hint of chocolate.
Flavor/Palate : mid bodied. Follow up of what aroma offered. Wild roast with fruity flavours , berry sweets on side , sugary with some of brown malt. Slight hint of processed vanilla. In short bad brew.

Dec 2, 2009 12oz bottle from total wine in greenville. pours a dark, cola-brown with a thin, tan head and decent lacing. aroma is a bit odd with slight coffee and chocolate notes that are overshadowed by artificial vanilla and cherry scents. flavor follows the odd aroma with sweet, artificial vanilla, cherry, and raspberry notes completely overshadowing the hints of roast coffee, dark malts, and chocolate on the finish. palate is on the thin side of medium bodied with light carbonation. overall, a pretty disappointing brew.

Nov 28, 2009 Pours a deep black with a tan head. A definite expresso taste with a hint of vanilla. Normally I would love this combination, but something about this beer did not work. The taste were a little harse and did not blend together. I was really disappointed in this beer.

Nov 23, 2009 Dark brown pour with a voluminous tan head and average lacing. The aroma was roasted malts, chocolate and artificial vanilla. The flavor had some sour notes as well as chocolate and artificial vanilla. Thin body. Disappointing.
