| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2007 Bottle. Dark body with some hints of translucence around the edges. Aromas are weak and centered around a sweet molasses kind of groove. Maybe a hint of dark fruit in there, too. Flavor is odd... hints of chocolate and dark fruit get swallowed up in a sweet malt frenzy from dark sugars, toffee and molasses. While this sounds OK enough, it comes off a little fake... almost like a chocolate flavored hard candy or something. It’s not bad, just something seems a little amiss. The sweetness is nice, but there isn’t much there to capture my interest. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2007 Pours a deep brown with ruby red/amber highlights and an medium foamy/bubbly off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of dark fruits, molasses, buttery caramel, mixed nuts, and some grains. Flavor was a mix of the same, on the sweet and malty side with hints of vanilla and more of the caramel/molasses and some toffee. Alcohol well hidden behind all those sweet malts. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 6, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear dark ruby color with a small off white head. Aroma contains sweet malts and a touch of bread. At the beginning, the flavor could possibly be rated higher. I enjoyed the caramel malts, just enough hops to balance the malts, and the minor roasted sensation at the beginning. I had to take off for the lingering funk that remained on my palate for too long. I would be willing to try this again just to see if it was my bottle.
