Commercial Description:
This malty, sweet, dark amber colored German-style bock beer is brewed with imported malt and hops. Its uncommon smoothness and impeccable taste make it the perfect companion for a cold night.

12 oz bottle: Nice caramel malt, sweet, somewhat a bready, a cardboard note, and a bit of roasted nut notes. Appearance is a deep amber color with a thick off white head that lingers around for a while. Taste has a caramel/fake/candy kind of taste to it. The malts are evident but there is somewhat of a medicinal factor to this brew. Palate is light and somewhat malty, lightly sweet on the lips. Overall, It has potential but it has some oxidized notes thinking that this is an older bottle, or mishandled bottle. Cheers!

Pours ruby with a fully receding tan head. Aroma of cherry, candy, spice, dirty diaper, and honey. Taste of honey, phenols, dirty malt, sweet candy. Mouthfeel is full bodied with moderate carbonation.

Thanks to nearbeer for the bottle! The body is a cherry mahogany color that makes a thin soapy head of mocha. Caramel and molasses nose. Spritzy palate, the flavor is lightly sweet, no hop bitterness. Simple and easy to drink.

Light, sweetish, malts coming up, along with a wisp of sulfur, thin sugary sweet dark fruit, and caramel taste, that drys out very quickly almost to the pont of astringency, a sour milk like lactose taste keeps peeking out. Some noticable alcohol. Merely ok

12 oz. Dark copper-brown with ruby tints and a four-finger, creamy head that lingers and leaves nice lace. Nose is earth-spicy molasses and cocoa with slight sweet corn in the background. Tastes of twangy-sweet caramel, molasses, dry cocoa, slight sour apple, toasted nut, and grain. Near medium body is pretty smooth, but has an astringently dry finish that sweeps the malt away pretty well.

12oz Bottle. Rather warm, lightly skunky malt character glows from the glass. Rather subdued, but present and rich. Vinous. A big waft of wine in the nose, cabernet. Pours clear in mid-red amber, with a tall head of suavely tanned foam. Does this have sulfites in it? Weird, heavy vinous blasts up front again. Chewy malt starts to shine. Caramel, Munich and a bittering hop edge. There’s the faintest skunkiness to the whole profile, but it’s not overly distracting. Tannins and astringency. Body is in place for the style. Could use more depth and nuance and to back off on some of the flavors that aren’t entirely desirable. Gummy hop glow in the back end.

Aroma is a little weak on this one. Its appearence is nice with a nice head. Flaveor and after taste are pretty good. Had it at the brewery and at the Detroit Athletic Club.

Deep red. Sweet mild aroma. Creamy but not much flavor. Good body. Not too much to it but still pretty good.
