tiggmtl (4180), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Feb 21, 2008 Mild caramel and somewhat sharp though light grassy hops in the nose... There’s kind of a waxy undercurrent to the aroma. Not sure what causes that. Hazy copper coloured body is topped by a decent off white head that recedes quite rapidly to a lasting cover with some lacing. Citrus is strong in the flavour but malt profile is lacking - although there’s a lot of sweet fruitiness, it’s really very dry and perhaps a bit astringent. There’s a sort of ashy flavour in the aftertaste. Medium light body is somewhat puckering and carbonation is quite strong and pointy. This one didn’t really work out for me. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature.
Roli (286), laval, Quebec, Canada Dec 9, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Dark amber color and a big white head. Tasted caramel and kinda hoppy. Agrumes and spice. Bitter aftertaste. A good one, would have it again. Radek Kliber (3302), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 16, 2007 Bottle 341 ml
Appearance :Amber tea like with large thick creamy top. Fragmental lace shown.4- Nose :
Sweet cookie dough with aromatic aroma fruit aroma , hop hints floating at sides. Flavour/Palate : slight harsh carbonation disrupts theme . Gently bitter had to fight its way trough. Late bitter woody theme shown. Surely on right path but plenty of road to make.
