grant (759), Martinez, California, USA Aug 7, 2008 Clear light brown with apparently hygroscopic head scared against the sides of the glass. Potent hops aroma, mainly citrus (orange, but even trending to lemon). Light pine, ephemeral cheesiness. Biscuity, cookie dough malts. Sweet and soft here, more orange. Very creamsicle-ish, almond notes. Good sweet/bitter balance. JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 23, 2008 Draught. Marks for Appearance are an average, as beer was sampled in weak artificial light after dark. Serious C-hops, very citrussy, and the usual bit of grapes and grapefruit juices. Bitter-grapefruit peel-like flavours with some underlying malt syrup-like backing. Bit unbalanced, if not bad. Slick MF, oily. Typical W.C. IPA. Brewery maybe still in tentative phase? Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Apr 7, 2008 Draft glass at the brewpub. Ah, it’s nice to be in California! Golden copper with a nicely formed head. Despite it’s light appearance and body, this packs a punch of NW American hoppiness, even hinting at a bit of vicuous oiliness. Delicious. (#3383, 4/7/2008) Ale_Drinker (1072), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jan 1, 2008 Similar to their pale ale but amped. Big hoppy nose with citrus and some orange. Flavor is slightly sweet. Finish is very bitter. Nice and drinkable IPA. IslandHaole (1028), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan Oct 16, 2007 A reddish dark amber color, has nice lacing too! A GREAT hoppy aroma featuring tomcat pee & pinesol with cotton candy in the nose (Really much better than it sounds!) DELICIOUS, plenty of Left Coast Cascade hops with enough chewey malt to balance out what is clearly their best brew!
