Massively grainy aroma, slightly porridgy - a bit pile of soggy malted husky grain. Pleasant carbonation, full palate. Simple but tasty grainy taste, full husk component. Finish a bit thin, unfortunately, as this is a taste I’d like to have hanging around. There are some hops, but they’re restricted to a light tingle in the mouth. Very drinkable, and a celebration of beers not having to be outrageous in order to be interesting. Tasty any time, any season. austone (1039), Turku; Pori, Finland

Toasted bready aroma with nice nuttiness, slight butter and herbal notes. Sweet and malty flavor with strong nuts, hint of butter, enought herbal hops & bitterness to balance the sweetness. A tad chewy, smooth palate. Pretty low on roast, almost in the märzen league. A good, honest easy drinking brew. (was 7/3/7/3/14)
Had to pump up the score, I was definitely too snifty the first time, copper is sparkling and the palate is really nicely mellow and chewy. A great nutty dunkel/märzen hybrid.
