Had this on draught in Stevens Point. Average in color (darkish brown), nose (not a whole lot going on, kinda lagery) and flavor.

An average beer, a subpar dunkel. pours dark brown with red tint and little head. All malt taste with a touch of roasted malt and no hops. mouthfeel is watery and lacking. Not an impressive brew by any means but not horribly offensive, hence the average drinkability rating.

Beautiful pour. Smell leaves something to be desired. Doesn't taste at all like a dark beer, more like a lager. Damn you POint, you keep fu@king everything up. You drop your old formula for your Bock (which is still my top raned beer), then you ruin Augsburger. Jeer Jeer Jeer. Next time I am in Northern WI, I am going to stop in and give the brewmaster a piece of my mind!!!

Bottled; can't imagine drinking this on draught for some reason. Dark roan complexion, little head. The berry thing is offputting, bunkypop has it right -- sort of like a nightmarish fruity-scottish ale. I found it slightly more flavorful and drinkable than the Golden, but the balance is off and it's too carbonated. This was perhaps my first "dark" beer of any kind. Sad.

aroma is like a scottish, with slight raspberry. flavor upsets me though, not much there. it's like a guy poured a fruit beer in a scottish to make something strangely off and unworthy. not stinging, though... light berry aftertaste, what's with the seasoning? and the malt is just not how it should be considering everything else. aftertaste dies quickly, nothing actually offensive. oh well, not a drain, but i'll definitely pass next time. i don't like it, but i do think it's kinda ugh good. hmm.

The aroma is somewhat nice: there is an interesting sweet berry note in there. I cannot say very much about the flavor. Sort of dry, oddly bitter, but really without a lot of flavor.

mohagany body, no head. weak caramel and earthy hop tones. light damaged, of course, fuck green bottles. some roasted notes and a bit of caramel. full and foamy, a bit dry and biting and astringent.

Fairly dark red/brown color with what looked to be a pretty good head but it didn't last long. Mild roasty malt aroma with a nip of spiciness. Light to medium bodied, malty with some chocolate and an unexpected breadlike note to it. The finish was clean and lightly bitter.
