33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small white to tan head. Aroma is phenolic, light fruity and with a light roasted malt note. Sweet caramelish and fruity phenolic/yeasty flavoured. Light metallic note. Ends lingering fruity and light caramel malty.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear deep amber with a frothy and lacing off-white head. Sweet aroma of overripe fruits and burned caramel. Medium body, roasted malts, overripe, dried fruits, lots of yeast, phenols and odd esters. Very rough and unrefined - your typical Van Steenberge. Rough finish. 221109

Nice dark reddish brown appearance. Thick foamy head. Aroma is of freshly baked bread, hay, a bit yeasty and malty. Bitter leathery taste that makes me wonder if I accidentally soaked my jacket into this beer, but it’s definitely interesting. There is also a hint of sweetness, but the long finish is again quite bitter. Good carbonation. I actually like it, although it’s a bit different than most dubbels.

Pours a dark brown color with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and caramels. Flavors of roasted malts, dry plums, caramels, some spices, and some brown sugars. A nice creamy, dry sweet and bitter finish. Good carbonation and good ballance. A nice warm beer that’s very enjoyable.

From 330ml bottle. New beer. Dark brown with a caramal smell and caramal taste. The dark brown colour can be explained by some roasted malt, which makes it more interesting. However good enough to be excited about imo.
