Golden, slightly opaque. Lasting head. Aroma is appealing, mild yeast. Heavy alcohol flavor. Besides the alcohol there is a dominant estery green apple flavor, some bitterness in the finish. Although I realize this beer falls into a different style category I still feel that it is not as well balanced as the Augustijn trappist ale. Pretty one dimensional.

My notes (from a while ago!) tell me this is "an average belgian beer" I bought it as a bin-end from Oddbins.

Hazy golden color with a thick, coarse white head. Aroma of citrus, apples, some light spiciness, and alcohol. Very sharp, biting, intense flavors of citrus fruits, apples, and pears carried by the serious alcohol presence. Some very slight hint of hops, but mostly lost in the sea of alcohol. It wasn’t very subtle or well hidden--kind of burned my throat a bit. I can imagine having two of these and feeling bad about it. This beer was alright, but not great. Not too interesting or unique.

Yellow gold body with a large frothy white head leaving some chunks of lacing. Sweet aroma, soft cloves, a little yeast and a little pepper. Body is a bit thin, some citrus notes and a bit of spice, easy drinking for a 9% beer.

0.33 l bottle. Golden color with large velvety head. Fruity aroma with clove, honey, raspberry and some alcohol. Fruity, clovey and honeyish flavor. Spicy finish. Not special but wellmade and balanced.
