Long arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture crémeuse. Arrière goût de fruit avec une trace de craie comme sensation. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. (Rating #188)

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautifully, hazy amber with a huge, pretty head. Extremely full-bodied with a potent alcohol-burn. Some vague spices, but the yeast adds most of the flavour. A solid but not very refined brew. 240197

33 cl bottle, bbe Sep 06. Clear shiny golden, a lot of sparkling, large frothy white head which doesn’t last long. Sharp hoppy and grassy aroma (stinging nettle?) with a touch of sweetness (liquorice?). A bit woody, too. Tart and metallic flavour without much sweetness either with a faint, but clearly present hoppy finish. The tartiness also lasts. Round in the mouth, that’s where the malt is (at last) expressed. Different than it was a year or two ago, I’d say... Goes well with a cipolata, cooked potatoes and cauliflower in white sauce, anyway.

Draught: This one has a hazy, straw yellow color to it. The head is big, thick and white. There is a fairly good amount of lacing to go along with it. The aroma has notes of spices, sour fruits, flora,l others too. The taste is rich and full. A hint of sourness with the fruits, spicy, yeasty with some bitterness. Complex and satisfying.

Dense and extremely abundant head. Much bubbly and diamond. Limpid yellow color, loaded and shiny. Strong and decided scent, much alcoholic and complex. Powerful and spiced. Dry taste, much bitter with caramel, whiskey, hop and flowery notes. Long and persistent finish; much herbaceous and bitter.

Bottled (BB 10/2006)
Very pale yellow, slightly hazy color with steadt small foamy head. Rubbery fruity aroma of mashed apples and pears dominates, hops and lime underlying there. Quite light-bodied for this high ABV, easy to drink, citrusy and fruity but hard mouthfeel. Palate does not show its 9 % but alcohol kicks in the aftertaste. Dissapointing brew.
