Nov 12, 2004 Updated: Jun 9, 2006This is a truly marvelous beer. One of my staples at the Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh. Sampled again on draft this brew pours a straw yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with just a hint of a pleasant sour tang. The flavor is sweet and tangy with a light fruit flavor that yields to a yeastiness on the finish. There is a rather thick mouthfeel. Overall one of my favorite Belgian drafts.

May 2, 2008 This has a clear sherry taste to it--which gives it a real personality distinct from its big sister Augustijn or other tripel-style brews. Nutty aftertaste balancing a mild but persistent fruitiness.

May 25, 2005 Draught: This one has a hazy, straw yellow color to it. The head is big, thick and white. There is a fairly good amount of lacing to go along with it. The aroma has notes of spices, sour fruits, flora,l others too. The taste is rich and full. A hint of sourness with the fruits, spicy,yeasty with some bitterness. Complex and satisfying.
