This is a truly marvelous beer. One of my staples at the Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh. Sampled again on draft this brew pours a straw yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with just a hint of a pleasant sour tang. The flavor is sweet and tangy with a light fruit flavor that yields to a yeastiness on the finish. There is a rather thick mouthfeel. Overall one of my favorite Belgian drafts.

Fine aroma with some flower notes. Disapointing appearance, low head. To much alcohol in the flavor. Sweet malt too. Very strong ale.

This has a clear sherry taste to it--which gives it a real personality distinct from its big sister Augustijn or other tripel-style brews. Nutty aftertaste balancing a mild but persistent fruitiness.

Dark golden color. Fine aroma with flower notes. Disapointing appearance, low head. Much alcohol in the flavor. Sweet malt too. Strong ale. I prefer the normal augustijn.

Draught: This one has a hazy, straw yellow color to it. The head is big, thick and white. There is a fairly good amount of lacing to go along with it. The aroma has notes of spices, sour fruits, flora,l others too. The taste is rich and full. A hint of sourness with the fruits, spicy, yeasty with some bitterness. Complex and satisfying.

Blond color; incredibly giant and creamy head. Malty and spicy aroma, dry (the classic coriander). Good body structure, not too much sweet not bitter; a light sour note and wood touch, peculiar in a Triple..

Very similar to the regular « Augustijn » but with more alcohol and yeast presence…Drunken bees on bitter flowers…Falling onto a heavy malt bed…
