smith4498 (382), Miami, Florida, USA Jan 29, 2008 Bottle from 6 pack Belgian sampler. Poured amber colour with a lasting head. Taste is fruity, malty and hoppy but not very impressive. Seemed too carbonated. There are many tripels that are much better. Disappointing, will not have again.
presario (2441), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 7, 2008 Golden amber with a lasting thin sticky head. Strong aroma honey, peach-apricot and a bit of yeast. A little rough and dirty for a Tripel. Lots of fruit flavour similar to aroma with a bitterness to it. deft (69), Sweden Sep 28, 2008 Sampled from gnoff’s bottle, at Tre små rum 2008-05-28. Hazy orange (with small particles in it), plenty of fluffy off-white head. Bananas in aroma (kind of wheat-beer-ish) and spices. Surprisingly bitter taste, bread tones and more bananas. Spritzy. Derek881 (345), Frederick, Maryland, USA Sep 26, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a trappist glass. Good, crisp Belgian aroma with a sweet candy and fruity smell mixed with some lighter citrus hops. A pale amber to dark straw color with an average sized, slightly creamy, white head that had good retention and cling. The flavor was somewhat disappointing however, featuring a sweet candy taste with a lightly bitter citrus undertone, but also seemed heavily watered. The body too was somewhat thinner and watery, with a good fizzyness and slightly dry finish. It’s a good beer, but not great, I was hoping for better. Snojerk321 (1017), San Diego, California, USA Sep 25, 2008 Pale yellow with a very large white head, mostly lasting, fine lacing. Aroma heavy malty (fruity, spicy), light hoppy. Flavor heavy sweet, light bitter. Medium/full body, heavy carbonated. pepperford (108), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA Sep 7, 2008 very light, almost pilsner-ish with a large rocky head. Orange and a bit of soap/corriander in the aromas. Flavors are delicate, a slight nuttiness, orange, an a hint of flinty hop bitterness and a touch of sweetness in the finish.
