Very pale. Full of sweet grassy malt. Hints of fudgy sugar there too. Some aromatic green qualities to it but mainly a straight forward, easy drinking (though not too soft) Oktoberfest beer.

Very innofensive clear beer pours a light fluffy head into a stein glass. Very easy to drink. Quite hoppy; light, citrusy-lemon, inoffensive and well balanced. A very nice easy to drink beer but nothing special. I felt the aroma was very bland but that could do with the fact that hells and oktoberfest beers don’t last too long and are probably not right for travelling. Still I enjoyed the purity. An excellent commerical prospect. Consumed on Sunday.

On tap at the Augustiner Bräu Festhalle 2009. Nice yellow-orange color with frothy dense lingering head, awesome lacing. Creamy malty aroma. Lighly sweet flavor with just enough hops in the finish to even it out. OK, so maybe the fact that this was my first Oktoberfest in Munich has added a few points to the rating, this beer is good none the less.

Bottle. Slightly sweet barley malt and grassy hops aroma. Straw color with moderate head. Sweet barley malt and fresh hay hops flavor. Nicely drinkable and pretty hoppy for an Oktoberfest beer but nothing unique.

Bottle. Clear golden colour with a medium white head and a fair lacing. Aroma and taste of malts and fruits with a weak hoppy finish.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of joss. Beautiful bottle. Clear pale yellow with a white head. Good lacework. Pale malt with a whiff of lovely earthy german hops in the nose. Decent bitterness. Good balance. Dryish finish. Pleasant and flawless. Thanks a lot joss!

500ml bottle. Golden in colour with a slight white head and moderate carbonation. Bready, malt aroma with a hint of sweetness. Smooth drinking, with sweet malt flavour, some grassy hops and lingering bitterness in the finish. Alcohol was well hidden. Good.
