JoeinUccle (689), Brussels, Belgium Aug 4, 2008 This one hit my sweet spot: dry, fairly bitter and refreshing. 33 cL bottle from Beer Planet shop in Brussels. Hazy reddish-copper color with thick, persistent, cream-colored head. It’s about as nice as an amber ale can look. Nose has a dry-hoppy cover on biscuity malts, with some funky barnyard, apples and faint cheddar in there. Tastes reasonably bitter, with a slightly sour rye-toast backdrop, going really dry into the finish. A tasty quencher with real character. Impressive little brewery, IMO. Jerre (1399), Waregem, Belgium Nov 25, 2007 Bottle, 33 cl; yesterday @ home (bougth Willems) Licht hazy, amber color, with white creamy head. Aroma bit caramel, hops, yeast. Medium body. Taste is very regular amber beer, bit sweet, caramel malts, very little spice, light bitterness.
Good. diabel (1210), Aarschot, Belgium Aug 12, 2007 Bottle Hazy, orange body (more orange than amber as the name indicates). Off-white, nice creamy head. Lovely looks. Aroma of hops, flowers, caramel, yeast but overall quite plain aroma. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet finish. Quite ok balance, not very complex. larsniclas (3029), Gothenburg, Sweden Jun 2, 2007 Bottled.
Amber with a firm, off-white head.
Grassy spicy and hoppy aroma (reminicent from Nils Oscar).
Nutty and hoppy flavour. Spicy and fresh. rlgk (3028), Motala, Sweden May 26, 2007 Bottle at Delirium Cafe, Göteborg. Cloudy amber color, offwhite head. Malty, nutty aroma with some hops. Nutty flavor, almond, hops and malts. Quite mild pleasant finish.
