MiP (5068), Flensburg, Germany Sep 27, 2007 Bottle, 9.5%. Vinous aroma. Hazy golden colour, gets more cloudy towards the bottom. Refreshingly fruity aroma. Small white head. The flavour has some sweet tea, quite spicy with a hint of pepper. There also seems to be a bit of horse flavour and aftertaste. Nice creamy mouthfeel. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 11, 2007 Hazy copper color; creamy head. The aroma has both some malt and spices, but also light apples. Strange mouthfeel, sweet in the front and drier in the end, not thick; the flavor is sweetish, with some malt and with an apple touch; the bitterness is medium-low. Pleasant, mostly for the (unusual for a Triple) combination sweetness/apples. Glouglouburp (1943), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Sep 26, 2006 Slightly cloudy dark golden with a large white head. Despite its look, I found the aroma to be somewhat stoutish although the taste definitely wasn’t. Very malty, sticky caramel and toffee, sweet but not too much, very warm alcohol feeling without the bite. Nice body that is both creamy and silky. 9.5% is apparent but does not get in the way. Strong and heavy. I’m surprised at the so-so comments on this one. This beer definitely had some balls, and you need some when you call yourself the Genuine Triple. thewolf (3651), Kolding, Denmark Apr 30, 2008 Bottle. [thank you, Yespr]

Pours hazy, pale golden with a small, frothy, white head. Aroma has loads of pear, some yeast and sweet malts. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is rather vinious, some fruity pear notes and with a subdued hoppy/spicy finish. Quite nice. diabel (1197), Aarschot, Belgium Jan 25, 2007 Bottle Clear, amber body. Off-white, creamy head. Aroma of yeast, vanilla. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Decent triple, but not very good.
