The nose was hoppy and slightly sour. Mouthful was creamy with a decent hop flavor and balanced malts. Malts dominated the finish. fakepurseninja (792), Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 5, 2008 If you are going to make beer - why bother settling for mediocre, ho-hum, nothing going on bland crappers like this one? Why bother? Donate the grain to starving Africans? Use the hops to ornamental ground coverage. Plain does not begin to describe this drink. Apart from a stellar appearance - it is like vanilla ice cream minus the vanilla flavoring. Just dull. Maybe a little buttery and sour, very little malt flavor. Virtually no hop presence. Not bad. Not good. Just Nice bottle art. Cappadonna (104), Delray Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2008 Pours hazy gold/copper with minimal carbonation. The aroma is an inviting honey smell- the malts come through too. The beer has a sweet, mellow taste to it and is much hoppier than most ESBs. Finishes mildly bitter. Very drinkable and enjoyable. A different ESB. dkachur (2429), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2008 355 mL bottle. Copper-brown with a nice "rocky" head. The aroma definitely makes this an American ESB, with nothing but floral/citrus hops. The flavour is nice, with the floral hops and sweetish caramel malt. No bitterness ’til the end. Crisp. Very drinkable. LadySusan (488), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2008 Taster at The Mondial de la biere 08 in Montreal. The color is a dark honey with a beige head. The aroma is somewhat sweet. The taste is of hops and fruity, with a bitter finish that does not last long as it should, Not that remarkable for an E.S.B. darn1207 (630), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 21, 2008 bottle. Aroma of dried dark fruits, caramel, vino, honey, and herbs. Medium orange amber hue with an average sized white head that mostly diminished and left some lace. Flavor is sweet malts and hops. Palate is light bodied and soft. The aroma is fantastic. Nice barely wine malts and hops. The flavor is good and finishes with some bitters. I kept wanting more but the finish is a little off. Otherwise it’s top notch.
