Commercial Description:
Named for the 54 Colorado peaks which tower over 14,000 feet in elevation, our session beer is a spectacular copper hued beauty. The treatment of our water to simulate English hard water and the blending of several specialty malts and hops produce a delicate balance between aromatic maltiness and herbal hops.

Pours amber, nice white head. Taste is caramel malts and bitterness. Perhaps a slight sourness, but overall good.

Pours a pale amber color with clarity and an average, white, mostly lasting, fluffy, rocky head with some nice lacing. Nose is simple but pleasant; mostly restrained grapefruit citrus with floral undertones and a sweet, biscuity malt presence. Similar flavor with sweet, biscuity malt notes, almost like honeyed cornbread, and lightly citrus hops followed by some mild floral/herbal bitterness creating amoderate bitterness by the finish. Palate is fitting; moderately light, lively, and somewhat crisp but a little watery. Finishes short and mostly bitter with herbal notes and light citrus. A nice American twist on an English beer. Fairly aggressive for the style but very drinkable nonetheless; just enough character to keep it interesting.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy, light gold. Thin, white head that fades quickly. Starts with a carmel mouthfeel and ends with a distinct bitter finish.

Tap. At the Avery 14th Anniversary party. An ultra bitter ESB. The color is a mild orange/amber with a nice start and a very bitter ending.

Not a bad bitter. Rather piney hops with floral undertones in the aroma. A tiny bit cardboardy on the finish, but, other than that, solid.

Hazy and golden, WAY too much carbonation, bottle exploded upon opening! After cleaning up the mess, I returned to sniff the beer: smells like celery and melted hard candy. The SESSION description is apt. This beer is on par with Macro brews... I know Avery has so much to offer, but I’m not sure what went wrong here. Adam Avery must’ve been in Belgium when this was brewed.

Poured from bottle with huge white head. Great lacing and staying power. Appearance a beautiful cloudy amber with hints of orange. Sweet aroma of citrus with malt and hops. Flavor is a bit sour with wonderful bitter notes at the finish.
