The head formed nicely with some lacing and a clear copper in color. This is my second ESB in a week. This one is my favorite. A well balanced ale with just the right bitterness and malt flavors. Avery has a truly a great beer in its stable. I will look for this one again. I purchased another in Blacksburg while visiting Ben and Addie. This is well balanced ESB. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 3, 2006 A decent brew, amberish normal color to it with small bit o head. Mostly malts in the aroma with a few hints of hops and the body follows much the same. Decent. Bosco (65), Boca Raton, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2006 Bottle, Poured amber/gold. Cap came off with louder than average ’pop’ followed by white puff of CO2 gas....foamed right out of the glass leaving about a once behind. Very active carbination to say the least.
Lace curtained the whole glass. Soapy aroma. This beer had promise but was lost somewhere. I wonder how well this one does in Colorado against some of the great beesr found there.
