Pale light orangey gold with a glazed clear body and slow rising carbonation within. Medium cap of dull white foam thats firmly fluffy sits for a brief while before it stays at its thick skim and fluffy thin collar. Nicely sheeting and thick lace coats the glass. Aroma is pretty solid for an ESB, actually about what I’d expect. Dry, toasted, with a great citrus squeezed sense of woodish hops and pine. Taste is well-balanced, always present, and active. Lightly parched grapefruit and toasted grains upfront, middle is wet and biscuity, woodish, and light earthy grains bring in a burntish tinge. Finish brings about another perk of hops as it grabs the toasty stuff and runs with it adding piney dried hops with just a smidgeon of dulled fruity peaches and lemon. Stays dry and tender with a wonderfully light toastness. Vienna malts seem to be the cause to its overall character. Yum. Feel is about medium to light but builds pretty quickly and boldy into the finsih where it really takes a great glide across a toasted, grainy, lightly, perfect, dry tone as it finishes. Wow, this escaped me for so long, glad I decided to grab it. Another Avery keeper. A very good ESB. And at only 5.1% this could be one to drink for a while longer then two or three.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & Blankboy. Orange. Small white head. Frothy mouthfeel. Fruit aroma. Bitter, citrus fruity taste. Thin mouthfeel. Wish it wasn’t as this as it is, but what is here is flavourful enough. Enjoyable, just no wow factor.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear copper with a spare white head. Nice aroma mainly of citrus hops and a touch of malt. The flavour followed the aroma but was not as good, not sure why. Quite bitter aftertaste. Decent but a little too bland to bother getting over other better ESBs.

Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry and tupalev - courtesy of tupalev. Clear light amber-gold colour. Aroma of tea-like hops and earthy malt. Flavour is well balanced, with citric hops in the finish. Well made and tasty, but lacking the "wow" factor that I get from many APAs.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev - courtesy of tupalev. Poured clear light amber-gold with a thin white head. Aroma of slightly vegetal malt, lots of thin, resiny sharp hops, some solvent notes - got noticeably grainier on warming. Not much malt taste, this was bitter with a long bitter finish. Average body. It’s bitter, there’s not much malt, it has some cereal grain character - not my soft of thing, but not bad.

from the bottle. poured a light honey, with a off white head that left some good lacing. grapefruit, malts, caramel, floral. flavor a little on the mild side got honey, caramel, floral, malt. I wish I could be at the top of pikes peak like I was in eary july and be drinking this. not to bad.

Crystal clear golden ale, with a snowy, resiney,white head. I pick out the obvious grapefruity American hops, caramel, honey, and biscuts. Kind of watery. Lots of carbonatoin.

Bottle. Clear deep amber pour with a light cap of white head. Aroma picked up fresh grapefruit, sweet caramel, and some herbal/floral hops. Hoppy and very bitter on the palate... I really think this is mis-classed. A whole lotta hops in the flavor... grapefruit, wet grass, dried flowers, and herbs. Dry caramel base was well-placed. I’m rating this as an E.S.B., and I thought it was really well-done.
