| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 28, 2005 Bottle: Citrus hop aroma dominates. Pours a light transparent orange with a white head. Light citrus with some orange peel up front with a moderate pine hop finish. Not enough malt for good balance but still decent. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2005 Not too bad for the style I guess (ESB) but this brew does leave me wanting something a bit deeper. This brew has that good peppery-hop and a good caramel malt backbone. Overall not too bad, but usually I pass this one up. joeec5 (204), bayonne, New Jersey, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 23, 2005 Bottle. Clear golden color with a medium sized white head that quickly dissipates.
Mildly sweet aroma of fruity hops and
lightly toasted malts. Flavor is a bit malty sweet, but is balanced fairly well by the hops. Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 22, 2005 Very light colored for an ESB. Good for a pale ale though. Decent head but fades and leaves slight lace. Good hoppy aroma- herbal and earthy with hints of fruitiness. Flavor is malty, toasted, and earthy hops. Good smooth finish. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 21, 2005 Bottle, from trade with Silphium. Good nose, Sweet. Honey, nutty, that viney thing that seems to be Avery’s signature, little yeasty. Clean orangy gold color, ok head that faded to a ring. Sweet bitter flavors Same as aromas, little grass added. thinner body, kinda creamy, though on the thin side of creamy, bitter finish, herbal grass on the finish. Easy drinking, little sweet for style, IMO, Nice APA though
