Commercial Description:
We the Brewers of Avery Brewing Company, in order to form a more perfect ale, require a new leadership that can liberate us from our quagmires in foreign lands; embrace environmentally sound energy alternatives to imported oil; heal our ailing health care system; free us from tyrannical debt and resurrect the collapsing dollar. We hereby pledge to provide him or her with an ample amount of our Presidential Pale Ale to support in the struggle for the aforementioned goals! Hail to the New Chief!

Not an "Imperial" pale ale, this is a democracy. It's Presidential! Take the all-American pale ale, a bipartisan blend of malt and hops, increase to both Avery Brewing standards, and then, of course, dry hop the result with that most quintessential of American hops, Cascades, and you get this... Ale to the Chief. A brew worthy of the Oval Office! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, hops and yeast.

22 oz bottle. Pours a orange color with a small head. Aroma is slightly hoppy, with a touch of malt to it. Flavor is grapefruit, flowers, with a touch of malts and a warm citrus finish. Overall it is a strange, interesting brew.

22 oz bomber-clear orange color w/a slight off white head. Moderate hop aroma. This beer has some hops on the front end, got a little kick to it. Follows this up w/a somewhat sweet malt finish, it’s almost like an IPA, an APA, & a Belgian. It’s unique, I’ll give it that. I’m glad I tried it, but I would’tt really drink this that much, style was too confused. Either make an IPA or make a Belgian; Don’t try to do both.

Bomber. This big bad boy was made for those that like their hops and massive malt body over the top. The body was hazy dark bronze with a large khaki colored head. The aroma was strong grapefruit with some almonds. There was also some woody dryness and strawberries. The taste was woody grapefruit with some walnuts. A hot peach brandy finish was not pleasant. Bitter and woody with too much carbonation, this was too much for me.

Bottle shared with blankboy, jerc & mabel - courtesy of jerc & mabel. Clear golden-amber with a small white head. Aroma - mmmm, love those hops - Cascade-o-rama! Medium bodied. Flavour is tasty, very hop-forward but also well balanced. Very solid.

Golden pour with white head and lace. Grapefruit dominates the nose. Very evergreen bitter. Creamy full bodied beer. A beer on the edge of being very damn good. Would I drink it again. Ale yes.

22oz bottle poured into a Trappist glass. I have not had the opportunity to use my Trappist glass in a while. AATTC pours murky copper in color with a small thin head that persists longer than usual. This is not a particularly beautiful beer. The aroma contains grapefruit, spicy hop resin, honey and either peaches or cantelope. The sweetness detracts from the overall aroma but enough to ruin my anticipation. The flavor mirrors the aroma quite closely. The hops do not make as strong of an appearance as the aroma would suggest though. The body is not flat but somehow the finish seems so. This is a nice beer but in two weeks I will not remember it without reading my notes.

Pours a really nice copper color with a fluffy head. Aroma is a very pleasant sweet hops. Flavor is dominated by the hops, but has a nice cantelope sweetness. Palate was very smooth and has a nice finish. Overall, I was very impressed - but is this an American Strong Ale? Seemed much more like an IPA.
