Commercial Description:
We the Brewers of Avery Brewing Company, in order to form a more perfect ale, require a new leadership that can liberate us from our quagmires in foreign lands; embrace environmentally sound energy alternatives to imported oil; heal our ailing health care system; free us from tyrannical debt and resurrect the collapsing dollar. We hereby pledge to provide him or her with an ample amount of our Presidential Pale Ale to support in the struggle for the aforementioned goals! Hail to the New Chief!

Not an "Imperial" pale ale, this is a democracy. It's Presidential! Take the all-American pale ale, a bipartisan blend of malt and hops, increase to both Avery Brewing standards, and then, of course, dry hop the result with that most quintessential of American hops, Cascades, and you get this... Ale to the Chief. A brew worthy of the Oval Office! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, hops and yeast.

Clear amber with lovely white head and lattice-work. Bright tropical fruit hop aroma with juicy orange marmelade, candied orange peels. Thick but not chewy palate. Slight oiliness. Soft and low carbonation. Zesty orange flavors at the front that subside into a delightfully balanced canvas of intense hops, lingering finish with Campari and some pine. Sturdy, subdued, calm but assertive malts. Nice one.

Bottle at Redlight Redlight. Cloudy caramel colored pour with a thick white head. Aroma is just bursting and brutish, full of hops lots of citrus, pine and resiny. Taste is a spicy hop bomb, grassy and citrus with a nice malt balance trying to keep things even in there. Very good beer.

Pours amber in color with thick creamy head. Aroma is very pleasant of HOPS, hops and more Hops (umm mm). Flavor is good too; with notes of Hops (of course), malts, citrus, caramel and pine. A very good beer.

Bottle. Interesting beer here. Opened it and poured it, and it pretty much filled up the air with an orange peel smell. Really fruity with some hops still lingering in it, but really there isnt much to smell other than the orange. I do like orange, so the aroma is really good for me. Tastes sweet and dry with that same orange peel flavor and some grassy hops. Plenty of citrus, if not too much citrus. Dangerously drinkable too. Alcohol isnt detected at all. Good beer, really good if they tamed down the orange.

Cask @ Avery. Pours a slightly hazy, bright orange color; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Solid amounts of chewy earthiness and oranges in the aroma; soft hop profile; some basic sweet maltiness and oranges at the core. Relaxed carbonation. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy orange and grapefruits hoppiness, mildest astringency if any, and chewy, basic, sweet orange and earthy malt core; generous, slightly rough big beer with a solid, juicy orange hoppiness. Medium finish: dry orange bitterness, mild astringency, and some sticky candy sugar; on the dry side.
