Commercial Description:
We the Brewers of Avery Brewing Company, in order to form a more perfect ale, require a new leadership that can liberate us from our quagmires in foreign lands; embrace environmentally sound energy alternatives to imported oil; heal our ailing health care system; free us from tyrannical debt and resurrect the collapsing dollar. We hereby pledge to provide him or her with an ample amount of our Presidential Pale Ale to support in the struggle for the aforementioned goals! Hail to the New Chief!

Not an "Imperial" pale ale, this is a democracy. It's Presidential! Take the all-American pale ale, a bipartisan blend of malt and hops, increase to both Avery Brewing standards, and then, of course, dry hop the result with that most quintessential of American hops, Cascades, and you get this... Ale to the Chief. A brew worthy of the Oval Office! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, hops and yeast.

Cask @ Avery. Pours a slightly hazy, bright orange color; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Solid amounts of chewy earthiness and oranges in the aroma; soft hop profile; some basic sweet maltiness and oranges at the core. Relaxed carbonation. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy orange and grapefruits hoppiness, mildest astringency if any, and chewy, basic, sweet orange and earthy malt core; generous, slightly rough big beer with a solid, juicy orange hoppiness. Medium finish: dry orange bitterness, mild astringency, and some sticky candy sugar; on the dry side.

Pours a hazy orange/amber with a large frothy off-white foamy head. Sweet juicy hop aroma, some ambrosia/fridge, lightly toasted malts, pineapple, marshmallow, light resin. Taste follows aroma, juicy pineapple, light pine/resin, light chewy toasted crystal and caramel malts. Very floral, juicy and sweet. Bitter aftertaste. Seems somewhat oxidized even though its only 2 months old...

Nice sized beige head with good retention and a nice bit of lace thats sticky and lasting. Clear, orange/light copper hued ale. Nose is fruity, lightly flowery with some caramelly malts also. Body is medium, lightly oily on the palate, a touch grainy. Lightly sweet malts backed up with some earthy hop notes, a hint citrusy, light honey notes, fruity and sorta juicey. Lightly sweet, lightly astringent finish. Bottle procured @statelineliquors.

22 oz bottle. Clear honey brown; with coaxing produces a bubbly meringue head and lacy streaks. Nose is lemon-lime, orange and caramel. Medium body with faint stinging carb. A touch of resin and syrup. Seemed like a double IPA from the nose but taste shows more hyped malts versus hops. Taste is caramel, candied orange peel, melon and pine. Beautiful toasty sweetness with a spicy finish. A well done Imperial Pale.

Bomber served in trappist glass- poured transparent hazel amber color, medium carbonation of tiny bubbles, half finger head white with a brown tint formed and laced. Aroma of malt, citrus, and hops, very appealing! Hits the mouth with a high-medium body, sweetened malt hits the tongue at first but hops come roaring in that hold up in the middle. Finish has a pineapple/young papaya twang, which in this brew, only adds to the uniqueness of it. Not your typical ASA, but it hits a 10 on my awesome meter!

Tap. The beer pours to a glowing copper body with a creamy white head. Awesome appearance. The aroma is sweet candied pineapple and other hops. The flavor is an ultra-sweet up front candied pineapple and a long lasting liquid barley. Bitterness kicks in on the finish. Ultra smooth sweet body.

Bottle after work, well deserved. Honeyed amber hue with a healthy white top. Aromas of citrus juice rather than the rind. A slight bitterness creeps in as the notion of marmalade subsides. Palate entry is spiked with red grapefruit and more candied rind. Their is an interesting voice that leads a little bit towards menthol and verges on mothball but I’ll chalk that up to dry hopping and esters. Well balanced, although I really believe that the abv. should be closer to 7.5% rather than 9% but it ain’t my baby. Drinkable and dangerously quaff able. The menthol and alcohol should be worked out around the end of January, good timing.
