Source: 12 oz bottle split at Chuck’s.
Glass: Wine Glass.
Appearance: Dark brown pour with a thin tan head.
Aroma: Aroma was chocolate and typical sour notes.
Flavor: A hint of chocolate and caramel, with a weak sour finish.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 19, 2009 12 oz bottle-Deep mahogany pour w/a slight head & great lacing. Huge aroma’s of dark fruit & wine, just overpowering. Very winelike, flavors of dark fruit, red grapes, candied sugar, peat. The wine barrel aging really shows thru here in a positive way. Has a high alcohol kick to it, but it is very smooth. Great after dinner sipper, would be good w/a steak dinner as well. Long, full finish, good stuff! mar (1916), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 9, 2009 ( 12oz bottle) pours medium brown w/ red tint and spare ring of bubbles. Nose of white wine, barrel, tart fruits, and chocolate. Taste is not nearly as good as the nose. Not tart like the nose really. Muscat grapes, barrel, white wine, Off meaty flavors, and light notes of vinegar. Creamy palate and well carbonated. SamGamgee (1464), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA

Cleanly sour aroma with lots of lactic acid, vinous, oaky, some caramel and a faint vegetal note. The flavor is mildly chocolatey with some burnt plastic and a background sharp vegetal edge. Thinnish body with medium-low carbonation. Good appearance and aroma, but gets weird in the flavor. Has some similar qualities to their 15th, the only other beer than I have had from them with all brett fermentation, but gets even weirder with the vegetal and plastic notes to the point of being borderline bad. illidurit (895), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Pours a bright copper color with a small off-white head. Unsweetened cherry lemonade aroma with a hint of brett phenols manifesting as plasticky notes. Flavor is tannic with a touch of fruit salad and a dark maltiness. Way better than their 100% brett anniversary beer, but so is toilet water. Very funky, very dry, but not complex enough for being wild and strong. lefossoyeur (70), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Ruby brown with a nice creamy tan foam, thin but lasting.
Powerful nose of fruity brettanomyces, currants, grapes, raspberry and a slight cocoa aroma. Mildly funky, medium body, coats the mouth gently with the grape coming trough along with some cocoa, lactic notes, almost salty.
Great persistance of the taste but the finale is quite strange. Leaves you with a "green" and winey feeling in the aftertaste, from the barrel aging I guess. Not as sour as you would expect for such a beer. Very balanced and highly drinkable. Theis (3765), Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown body with a medium off white head. Lacto and brett acidic aroma with heavy fruity notes and some light roasted malt. Lovely and complex. The flavour is dark fruity, oaky and light acidic. Could be awesome in a few years of cellaring.
